SEAT Altea XL
Your family has grown so has ours. The new Altea XL may be bigger, but you can still expect the familiar honeycombe front grills and our signature Dynamic line. The visible tailpipe is another SEAT hallmark. The heated wing mirrors are electrically adjustable, folding neatly into ‘parking position’ (and out of harm’s way). The wipers are just as well trained and cleverly disappear into the front pillars. With the posse in tow, it also seemed like a smart idea to fit ia roof-rails. Which all goes to prove that as well as being longer, the XL is a car with more up top.

New SEAT Altea XL
There’s nothing quite like a few tears to dampen a trip in a hurry. Thankfully, it’s not something you have to worry about in the XL, which is roomy enough to ensure that nobody gets left behind. With its high roofline, the XL makes access easy.
Car Sweet Car
For legroom in the back, this five-seater is out in front. Of course, where kids are concerned, there’s something even more important than knee room, and that’s elbow room. Which is why the XL comes with SEAT’s very own ‘Anti-squabble Zone’ (put another way, that means an unrivalled amount of space between the rear passengers). If battle lines need to be drawn, it’s relief to know that they can fold down the armrest / table, complete with cup-holders. Front seats are fitted with fold-down ‘airplane-style’ seat-back shelves. Rear backrests are adjustable, allowing the kids to kick back after a hard day’s play.
Petrol & Diesel Engines
The XL is available with a family of three petrol engines, including the 2.0 FSI 150PS 6 speed Tiptronic (automatic). The new 1.8 160PS is also a six-speed, and owes its extra bite to T FSIL T FSI uses direct-injection technology, boosted by a turbocharger. The 1.9 TDI 105 PS has two bif two litre brothers the 170 PS version features a Diesel Particle Filter (DPF) and a 16 valve head for optimum power, peak efficiency and low emissions. The 140 PS engine is also available with another impressive set of letters next to its name: DSG. DSG stands for Direct Shift Gearbox, and this eliminates the usual conflict between spottiness, and the convenience of an automatic, to deliver a smoother and more responsive drive.
